Trainings

When you want to feed a hungry men, it is better to give him a fishing rod than a fish

We raise funds for special projects for exceptional organizations. We like them to learn how they can raise funds by themselves. Funding Support provides a basic training in fundraising skills. In addition we provide specific trainings based on what our customer desires.

Seed Funding

Basic training

  • Funding Support trains organizations to improve their fundraising skills. The basic fundraising training is specially designed for employees who have little experience with fundraising. In this training, all aspects of fundraising are discussed. After this training, the trained employees are able to apply for grants and funds independently.
  • Some employees who have gained experience with fundraising like to learn more about certain fundraising topics. Funding Support provides customized trainings on specific topics.

Training EU grants

  • European development organizations, who have raised EU grants for projects outside of Europe, still remain accountable for these funds. Their foreign partner is usually the project supervisor and spends most of the EU grant. For the European organization it is imperative that their partner will account these funds according to current European regulations.
  • This occurs not always in the right way and may cause a serious problem for the European development organization. Funding Support has developed a special training for development organizations to train financial staff in the European granting regulations. These are more often stricter and more specific than the rules of private funds. This training can be conducted in the Netherlands or abroad, in Dutch or in English. Normally, the training is conducted at the beginning of a new project. As a result, the project administration is immediately well organised, practical agreements on mutual reporting are established and employees do understand how to justify the EU grant.
